What’s the Rosemary Simpson Scholarship for?
The Rosemary Simpson Scholarship, funded by the Jolimont Foundation, helps Swinburne students from rural and regional areas pursue and complete their undergraduate degrees. This scholarship will help students in rural and regional areas to cover their educational expenses. The goal is to support students so they can focus on their studies without needing to work extensively outside of school.

Eligibility Criteria:
To qualify for the Rosemary Simpson Scholarship, you must:
- Citizenship: Should be Australian citizen
2. Enrollment Criteria:
- Preference is given to Year 12 school leavers
- Be a commencing 1st-year or continuing 2nd-year student in Semester 1, 2025
- Be enrolled full-time in an eligible course
3. Personal Statement/information/Video:
- Submit 500 words of personal information or a short video
- Leadership qualities or community involvement
- Upload your video to a cloud-based storage service and provide a link in an MS Word or PDF document
- Demonstrated personal or financial hardship
4. References:
- Academic Reference: From a qualified individual, such as a subject coordinator or school principal
- Character Reference: From a competent person such as a current or past employer
